Having had experiences of profound bhava, which are
also tantric, I received guidance from Krishna that made me write this
article.
Based on the development of a relationship with the
Person of God that manifested a book entitled Shiva Tantra for Spiritual
Freedom, the present description comes into the world. It refers to what many
souls would like to achieve and the gopis in despair want to bring about in the
eternity of their (our) relationship with Madhava.
Tantra is above all the perfect union between the
masculine and the feminine and between the expression that expands “horizontally”
(linear material, while we have material body) and the other one that is transferred to our impressions in “vertical”
direction (spiritual).
That is how I can describe them to the linear mind
that lives in this planetary age.
Living in a tantric relationship with Krishna has as
its culmination the purity of bhava (mood associated with a certain type of
intimacy). In the practice of daily life this also means bringing to the
external world what He wants from the co-creative interactions that are
established as part of such a relationship.
It is a mix of:
a) completely spiritual events;
b) events with visible transcendental significance
that happen here in materiality;
c) facts from this world that are sublimated through
the contact we have with Keshava.
In an attempt to propose some characterizations of
this Tantra, I make use of passages already described in the afore mentioned
book. However, I try to adapt them to the specific way of being with God when
He is clearly perceived as Krishna.
Spiritual Self-Realization
In Tantra “what exists is the realization within you
of what is male essence and, therefore, the spark of Shiva, which makes you
exist. Furthermore, such an accomplishment is completed when, still within the
human person, the spark of Shakti is realized, being the portion of feminine
essence that, in the interaction with the masculine one, grants life and movement
for the individual being (Shiva Tantra 1.16)”.
In Krishna Tantra, Paramatma has this mood (of
Krishna) and one can begin to know Him through Indian scriptures, such as
Srimad Bhagavatam's Tenth Chant, Bhagavad-Gita and Mahabharata.
But, to deep in such contact of knowledge is only
possible through a spiritual process that involves purification of anarthas -
imperfections typical of interactions with the material world - and ascension
to the higher dimensions of consciousness.
Then, through humble conduct, under the guidance of someone
who had already reached where the seeker want to go - the spiritual master, who
lives in a bhava of deep Love - one can realize the spark of an aspect of God -
Radha Krishna - within the heart.
Indoor-Outdoor Unit
From this point on, "the body is not seen as an
obstacle to the raising of consciousness, but as an opportunity to apprehend
the true nature of being (Shiva Tantra 1.16)".
By this, we mean that the material body gives us the
opportunity to exist in order to realize God through existence in it.
When we reach Tantric perfection in our relationship
with Krishna, we experience physical bodily sensations from contact with Him.
But, this only happens when the bhava has intensified so much that the material
body is immersed in the vibrational field of the transcendental body (the
siddha deha).
Many Tantra practitioners look for such sensations,
but without proper articulation with the Person of God.
I find it difficult to get access to the experience as
I know it, from what has been shown to me, without having realized the Absolute
Consciousness. Anyway, I don't want to doubt other truths.
I only divulge what I know myself and what I know does
not result in the mystical fusion that causes the individuality of the soul to
dissolve.
My way of practicing the tantric relationship with
Krishna is as I described in Bhagavan's Shiva Tantra (the Person of God), that
is, it is the experience of the “Union between Shiva and Shakti” or Radha
Krishna (for those who prefer this form of Divine Couple).
It is the “union between matter and spirit and / or
form and consciousness, which is only possible through the union between the
soul and its Source”. However, this union is, and at the same time, is not a
complete fusion. Being God a Person, we relate as people with Him in His
eternal lila (the transcendental pastime).
Scenes described in the scriptures become intimate as
part of our lives together with Him, in addition to a reality that exists in parallel
to the material and linear reality of this world. This is the reality in which
we become aware of the relationship with Him while there is still a material
body here.
Conclusion
To live this kind of experience with God, it is
necessary to understand that He is not just a formless energy. I know how
difficult it is for the person of this time to comprehend how this can be true.
But, I also know that it is possible to leave a state
of not knowing the divine nature of Him and ourselves to enter a state of more
happiness and freedom typical of the soul that knows itself as an eternal one.
Knowing oneself eternal does not just mean knowing
this perspective in theory. This world is full of theories.
We understand each other forever when we experience
the practical meaning of eternity. Krishna Tantra teaches life from another
perspective, different from what most people are used to experience.
It remains for us to open up ourselves to this other
truth, without needing any kind of religious fanaticism and aversion to other
forms of religiosity. Especially because in a state of tantric union with the
Person of God, we see Him in everything and understand the reason for the
diversity that exists behind the multiple expressions of human culture.
Living in tantric union with Krishna is above all to
live in freedom from any oppression of mind and heart.
